Dromquinna Manor sits on a 38-acre coastal estate 5km west of the Heritage Town of Kenmare on the famous Ring of Kerry in the southwest of Ireland

3 Do I need a car?

Not really. At Dromquinna Manor we have a daily water taxi to Kenmare, a shuttle to Star Outdoors watersports centre and there are a number of local taxi services. Tours can be arranged for the famous Ring of Kerry and Ring of Beara coastal drives. Bicycle hire and horseback riding are available on The Estate, and we also have a sportsfield and children's play area.

4 Where do I go to eat?

On The Estate we have our Boathouse Wine Bar & Bistro which serves delicious dishes overlooking the water. In addition we have a guest kitchen and barbecue area where you can create memorable meals using some of the local artisan produce sourced from The Shop. Kenmare is Ireland’s only town with more restaurants than bars, that some statement. With over 40 places to dine you are spoilt for choice.

5 Can I bring food?

Yes, of course you can bring food. You can use the guests kitchen and dining facility or barbecue in the communal area. Due to the nature of the Estate campfires and barbecues are not permitted outside of these designated areas.

6 Can I bring a boat or kayak?

Yes, and we would be delighted if you did. The Estate is directly on the water and has a boat slip, Fun Beach, pier, moorings and enjoys the calm waters of Kenmare Bay.

7 Is there a Beach?

We have a Fun Beach on the waters edge where children can play in the safety. There are also steps down to the strand for swimming in the clear waters of Kenmare Bay. The coast of Kenmare Bay is rocky so natural sand beaches are in short supply. The closest is 45km away but worth a day trip in the summer.

8 Do I need to bring bed linen?

All linen is supplied and a Toiletries Hamper will be waiting for your arrival. A deposit will be taken for towels and returned on departure.

9 Where are the washing facilities?

Toilets and washing facilities are located within a short distance of the Glamping area.
